HRN Service Technician Apprenticeship

At HRN we are investing in supporting young people into the workplace. That’s why we offer a unique apprenticeship for those who have an interest in working as an Agriculture Service Technician.

Those who are lucky to be selected to join HRN will start their journey in our workshop, shadowing and learning from some of the top agricultural engineers within the industry. It is during this introductory period of 3 months your skills will be monitored and reviewed.  Once the appropriate level has been achieved you will then continue your apprenticeship journey as a service technician and you will then be enrolled in Kubota UK’s apprenticeship programme, where over 48 months you will attend Llysfasi College in Wales on a block release system.

As a Service Technician, you will gain a Level 3 Technical Advanced Extended Diploma in Land Base Engineering. This qualification allows you to obtain a vast skillset that includes:

  • Numeracy
  • Literacy & IT

Additional non-legislative qualifications will also be obtained which include the following:

  • Telescopic Handler
  • Abrasive Wheels

What will I get paid?

  • Year 1 = Your hourly rate will be £7.00 per hour
  • Year 2 = Your hourly rate will be £8.50 per hour
  • Year 3 = Your hourly rate will be £10.00 per hour
  • Year 4 = Your hourly rate will be £11.50 per hour

Will I have to supply my own tools?

HRN have a vast arrange of tools available in our workshops, but it is always a good idea to build up your own.  Therefore, we will give you a tool allowance of up to £250 per year for three years of your apprenticeship.

 Will I be supplied with a uniform and PPE

All our staff are given appropriate workwear when you are enrolled as an employee of HRN.

Will I be entitled to the same benefits as non-apprenticeship employees of HRN?

Yes, when you join our HRN family, you will receive all the same benefits as those who are full-time served.

What if I’m not successful in my introductory period?

HRN understand that sometimes your career journey doesn’t go to plan, remember there is no wrong path. As a large company, we offer alternative opportunities, such as Parts advisors, Sales Representative, Warranty Administrators and many more. We will work with you.
